Pacific Summer Sessions 2018

This poster design was part of my university’s campaign to encourage students to enroll in the summer sessions available for students to get ahead in their degrees.

The contest rules stated that the university’s official color of Pacific Orange had to be used in the design, the URL had to be somewhere on the poster and that the design had to evoke the idea of movement.

I designed a flat graphic illustration that showed a typical day on campus which usually showed people long boarding around campus with their hydro flasks. I tried to make sure to use the Pacific Orange very carefully because it’s a very visually heavy color. I used the sky blue background as a way to compliment the orange. I was very happy when my design was selected as one of the contest’s winners!
